I had to get this movie from Netflix, because the one at the video store was completely damaged. I was going to just skip it since it was damaged, but it's hard to turn down a movie that has Juliet Lewis, William Hurt, Tobin Bell, and Shelly Duvall playing a character named Martha Stewart!
After her aunt dies, a woman moves into her aunt's super cheap, rent controlled apartment to avoid moving out into the country with her boyfriend. It doesn't take long before she realizes she lives above the neighbor from hell and across the way from a creepy locksmith. Will they push her out of the building, or will she fight back and stay where she thinks she belongs?
I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time getting this film from Netflix. It wasn't a bad movie, but there was nothing great about it either. This movie wasn't a horror movie either. It was more of a thriller like Hand that Rocks the Cradle or Single White Female.
The story was predictable and kinda lame. The character development was scatter brained at best. And they tricked you into thinking you were going to see Lewis naked and that didn't happen either!
If you catch it on tv, totally watch it. Or if Fearnet streams it for free, watch it. But if you have to pay money or waste time waiting for it from Netflix, then pass. You won't be missing much.
