Description: After a horrific car accident, Anna (Ricci) wakes up to find the local funeral director Eliot Deacon (Neeson) preparing her body for her funeral. Confused, terrified and feeling still very much alive, Anna doesn't believe she's dead, despite the funeral director's reassurances that she is merely in transition to the afterlife. Eliot convinces her he has the ability to communicate with the dead and is the only one who can help her. Trapped inside the funeral home, with nobody to turn to except Eliot, Anna is forced to face her deepest fears and accept her own death. But Anna's grief-stricken boyfriend Paul (Long) still can't shake the nagging suspicion that Eliot isn't what he appears to be. As the funeral nears, Paul gets closer to unlocking the disturbing truth, but it could be too late; Anna may have already begun to cross over the other side.
Anyone seen this one? I just watched it and really liked it....It kinda goes in two different directions....*SPOILER* on one hand she IS dead, on the other hand she isn't dead and the mortician is a serial killer*SPOILER*
Just curious on what everyone here thinks....dead or not dead? I myself thinks she was alive! too many things point to this...the drugs used...the breath on the mirrors. altho there are also strong hints that she was actually dead. antway! lemme know your stand on this as im curious what the majority feels!
Oh and by the way how nice is it to see half to mostly nude Ricci running around the whole move! I never really thought she was that good looking....but for sum reason I did in this movie....maybe it was the corpse appearance lol! i'm disturbed that way hehehe
anyway....if ya seen it comment! if not...then rent it or msg me for an free online link to watch it and then comment!
waiting for thoughts,
Madman!
Re: After.Life (not resident evil)*SPOILER ALERT*
She was alive. He was another deranged serial killer who, like Jigsaw, if you werent appreciating your life and making the best, they would kill you for it.
Re: After.Life (not resident evil)*SPOILER ALERT*
yep that was my take on it as well!
Re: After.Life (not resident evil)*SPOILER ALERT*
also if you notice....the pics he had on his wall...some had open eyes while others had closed eyes...it is said that the ones with open eyes where the ones he buried alive
Re: After.Life (not resident evil)*SPOILER ALERT*
I saw this awhile back but I believe you are correct. It wasnt a bad flick but again, not for the 14 bucks going up to 20 that they want for the theaters.
Re: After.Life (not resident evil)*SPOILER ALERT*
I actually, really enjoyed this movie. As you've all stated, it is very 'Jigsaw-esque' but it wasn't something you realized until the very end, that made it interesting to me.
I enjoyed it when I rented it, but I didn't buy it. It was a little too long of a thriller to want to watch again. :)
After.Life
Great movie. Ricci's character as stated by others here was alive. I actually watched the special features and they give it away for those not sure. Her breath on the mirror, the pictures on the wall, the boyfriend who becomes the next victim, the change in skin color etc.
Re: After.Life (not resident evil)*SPOILER ALERT*
I definetly have to disagree this movie was a weird one but way to slow and boring I almost fell asleep like 10 times....
After.Life
another great movie, it's more thriller, than horror but the element is really cool. she was dead but yet was holding on to her life, but she was so unhappy.
re: After.Life (not resident evil)*SPOILER ALERT*
in this film she is 100% alive & there are clues indicating this all the way through the film & as someone pointed out before me the woman who directed this points everything out in the extras on the DVD
