It took only a single zombie to create an army. It'll take everything humanity has to stop it.
A sequel in name only, this next chapter takes us to a college university completely overrun by the zombie plague. Only this time, the zombie strain gets mutated, creating a whole different zombie breed, called "hyper-sapiens". Stronger, faster, and meaner with razor teeth, these "hyper-sapiens" literally destroy, and rip apart everything in their way. An emergency team is sent in to find a blood sample from Patient Zero, the original "hyper-sapiens". Is their any escape out of this hell? The emergency team knew that this would be their worst nightmare. They had no idea.
This is only a sequel by name, with only a slight mention of the original incident. Although I was one of the very few that actually liked the original, this second chapter was ten times better. In my opinion, this has got to be one of the most underrated zombie films out there. I was extremely surprised with this film. This film had me captivated from the very beginning to the very end. It wasn't predictable at all, so you never knew what was going to happen next, which adds to the tension.
These were some of the best zombies I've seen in a long time. This film was like a cross between "Resident Evil", "28 Days Later" and "Land of the Dead", which, in my opinion, is a very good thing. Originally made for the Sci-Fi channel; I was extremely surprised and gleefully happy with the amount of gore. It seemed like at one point, every other scene was blood filled. Also, it was very, very realistic looking. I also loved the new zombies. Think of "28 Days Later" only the zombies were pretty ripped up, huge razor-sharp teeth, ripped up and bashed in faces. Every zombie looked unique in it's own way, which was a very nice difference apart from other zombie films.
The acting was spot on. A very nice addition was seeing Sid Haig. Although he only has a brief appearance, the Sid Haig zombie kicks ass! I was surprised with the amount of talent here. Even the background actors/actresses did a fine job. Best of all was the zombies. Some of the most believable and best I've seen.
Again, in my opinion, this is one of the most underrated zombie films out there. If you are one of the few like myself, you'll absolutely love this one. If you didn't like the first one, don't let that ruin it for you. This one is ten times better. I highly recommend this film. It's definitely worth at least a rental. I rate this an 8 out of 10 naked zombie chics.

Yes, it was good for a Sci-Fi movie. Their budgets are usually around a million dollars. You're right, there was no way they wouldn't have been bit, especially during their "last stand." I don't know why it was coined house of the dead 2 though. It didn't have anything to do with it except for that they both had zombies.

The Sci-fi reputation was well earned.
I was truly suprised how much this movie didn't suck. With how bad the first one was, I expected a monumentally terrible flim, given Sci-Fi's blatent disregard for quality. I would say it is worth watching.

house of the dead 2 is one of thoughs rear films that in my opion surpasted the first one by leaps and bounds this film took the idea of the zombie to a whole new level. Ok where do I start the idea that the zombie is now evolved to a now deadler zombie with razer sharp teeth to rip though armer and has the ablity to smell fresh blood from a mile away and is very fast way cool..I live for film that have three things that make it great one sex and nudity,two lots of gore i like see at least two head shots you all know what i mean,and three humor or in my opion puns related to the scene even though this movie was a direct to sci-fi channel and dvd release I gave this film a chance to grow on me and it did now i can't wait to see the third one and hope its the last because i love trilogys....bye for now

You are right this was 100x better than the original. The thing is how did they put the first P.O.S. movie in theaters, but not the second. The zombies were great and kept my interest the whole time. You know there will be a third and if you hear something about it please let me know.

You've gotta be shittin' me! I haven't seen it, but really didn't think it was necessary after seeing the first pile of fecal matter, I didn't think there would be anything worth watching to follow. But then again, when you start so low I guess it could only get better.

better than the first, but watching a movie about shit hardening on a hot summer day while flies picked little pieces off and ate it than puked it back up is better then house of the dead.
