When I was 11 I was in bed and a shadow man was standing in front of my bed for 3 hours. We were just staring at eachother. This happened to me three times. Not my only paranormal experience but definitly the Scariest as how I was too "old" to call for my mom so I had to stick it out by myself, staring at it.

Alot of these are intensly terrifying!!! I feel lucky.

Anyway, when I was about 12 my mom and I were at the beach in San Diego. She insisted we walk further and further into the ocean. I was totally scared when this wave finally came and took me under. I thought i was gone. Under the water, the super weird part was all of the sudden everything got really quiet and peacefull. I opened my eyes and saw the crystal clear ocean floor right infront of my face, and then I seemed to have taken a breath underwater! I still don't know how to explain this. It reminds me of those near death experience tv shows. After that my mom found me and yanked me up... Yeah, I prefer the beach now.

I also felt terrorized by spirits in my grandparent's 200 year old house in upstate new york. There is many a story of that place.

well, i was about 7 and we had just moved into a new apartment and i was sitting on the couch while my mom and big sis were somewher doing somthing. when i looked around i noticed it had gotten really cold and, suddenly, there was this girl sitting next me. she looked a few years older than i was and she was wearing a light colored dress or night gown. at the time i was utterly terrified but she kept showing up and i got used to it. sometimes she would even sit at the foot of my bed. the annoying part was noone else saw her but they experienced the temp change and just ignored it.

as a child:a dream within a dream.I was afraid of dolls, so had many dreams that my sister's dolls would try to stab me at night. My dream was like normal, dolls opening the closet and crawling on my bed with knives and other sharp objects...i was screaming, then my mom walked in a woke me up.Looking around I saw no dolls were there, she said to go back to sleep. She walked out and the dolls came out of the closet (with weapons of course,) but I am 'awake'..and can't scream. THen I woke up for real...and didn't fall back to sleep that night.

as a teen: playing with my ouija board with a friend. The planchet would not operate for her, so I took over. It began moving freakishly fast, and eventually we weren't even touching it.Planchet was moving all on its own. When I prayed the planchet flew off the board over the word goodbye, and out into my room (we were in my closet with the door open).there was a wind in my room that blew decorations and posters off the walls, but my door, heater vent, and window was closed.I had no desire to "play"with it again.I have since learned that even mediums and wiccans do not recommend spirit boards, as the attract very evil spirits or whatever they are.the things it was spelling on the board were questions and threats.I still don't know what to make of this event.at first I asked my friend if she was moving the planchette, and she said no...she was a very honest person and not given to lying. However, once the thing moved without us touching it I have no explaination.

had one more after watching "the exorcist' when i was 17, but it was just a presence I felt in the room, not a vision.I don't think it was harmful, just something sat on my bed. I was too afraid to look.

My childhood is kind of a blur to me now, and i know its because i had alot of fucked up things happened to us while we were growing up so i blocked alot of it out over the years. But one thing that does stick out was when i was about 6 or 7 and my parents took my sister and me to Dinosaur Valley to go swimming at the lake. We found what we thought was a great spot with plenty of shade and beautiful scenery. My sister and i jumpd straight in the water and we were having a great time until i heard my sister scream for a split second and then there was silence. I turned around and my sister was gone. Apparently she had stepped into a drop off in the water that looked like a 6 ft wide hole that we hadnt noticed when we got there. i yelled for my dad and he dove into the water to save her. It was probably only 10 to 15 seconds (which at the time felt like forever) before he finally resurfaced with my sister crying and gasping for air. We all climbed up onto the rocks and sat there with her until she was able to calm down, and i could finally stop crying knowing that she was ok. When everyone finally calmed down and ealised she would be fine my dad said he had to check something out and headed back to the spot where she sank and dived back into the water and dissapeared into the black hole. it wa maybe a lil less than a minute before he came back up and made his way back over to us and just kept saying there was no bottom to the hole. he kept going deeper and deeper expecting to touch the floor and push himself back up but he never saw or felt a solid surface, it just went on and on. Then ofcourse my mom, my sister and i started crying again when we realised what could have happened if he hadnt gotten there in time. Even though Dinosaur Valley had been one of my mst favorite places to go as a child, we havent been back since.

When I was around 3 or 4 years old my mother and a friend of hers took me to some large Kmart type store. My mother told me to go with her friend while she went to fetch something. They hadn't realized yet that I needed glasses for an astigmatism so I couldn't see very well. My memory of it is very hazy and dreamy, but I can remember not really seeing peoples faces when they spoke. Being so little, I was usually looking at peoples legs. So, when my mother headed off in one direction I freaked and tried to follow her but there was a large crowd and soon I was lost. I wandered around the store for some undetermined amount of time. In little kid time it seemed like hours, but probably wasn't that long. Eventually, a store clerk took me up to the front where there was an intercom and was going to announce that my parents needed to come there to look for me, but I didn't know my mothers name. All I knew was that she was "mommy". I'm not really sure what happened after that. Obviously I was found, but it still remains one of the most horrifying times of my life. The feeling I had while wandering around alone, not being able to see where I was or get help still haunts me. I occasionally still have nightmares of that experience.

When I was about...five or six, i woke up hot, sweaty, screaming and with a bloody nose. And like an hour later I was fine, Didn't remember a nightmare or anything. Probably pathetic that that's the most scariest experience in my childhood, huh? lol
