Yeah, this was done before, Im sure . . . BUT. . . . there ARE some new peeps here. . . . someone MAY come up with something ingenious something new. I know what I would want. I know there are loners here and to an extent I am one but a loner cannot survive a horde as a variety of weapons is actually needed.
I WILL say that I am going to laugh as so many people will pick a sword as if they are lying around, WHICH IS FINE, its just that MOST people, will hack away without severing ANYTHING, most people think they are some kind of samurai without training. Most people believe the Hollywood horseshit that Tom Cruise can learn to be a samurai in a few months, capable of beating samurai who have been studying SINCE THEY WERE CHILDREN, lol. I have also watched people try to use machetes and swords. Trust me, unless you are a 13 century warrior, lol. The avg. female will get tired after the first or second zombie, depending on how many times she has to swing it, and the average guy maybe a few strokes more.YES, a machete should at least be in the mix. I happen to own FIVE machetes and TWO REAL SWORDS. . . . . . . . how many do you have? lol. . . . . . IN ANY CASE. . . . . . IDEALLY, what weapon would you want. . . . . . . .

Smart lad. Some hi capacity Berettas or Glocks or a SOCOM would do the trick. SILENCERS are a great touch.

My choice would be a military FLAME THROWER. lol. I wouldnt be able to move fast but I can destroy an entire horde. Most people dont realize that the FT kills in more than one way and its actually fairly instantaneous. No oxygen to the brain and collapsed lungs being the FIRST thing to kill a person. In a ZB the intense heat should fry the brain in a second and they cant really take more than a step or two as moisture drys out, ligaments pop etc. If you were surrounded by the walking dead its the only way to go and it has good range. Like guns, when you are out of ammo you are on your own. Cant run fast with those big tanks on your back.

Flamethrowers are always nice. Except when a flaming zombie grabs you and sets you on fire as well. It would smell nice too

It could be a Cape Buffalo and it aint taking more than one step, lol. If a zombie is close enough to put your hand on him its best just to reach out and snap his neck. Not like they know hand to hand combat. Snapped neck leaves no connection to the spine to enable him to move. This flame thrower is home made by someone who knows how. The flame from a military mix sticks like Napalm and wont go off for quite a bit.

Easy! Just go to the butcher's at your local supermarket for some fresh pre-packaged brains! That way all you have to do is throw it to them and they will pounce on IT instead of YOU giving you the ample time to run for your life!

A perfect weapon that doesnt require a lot of strength because it uses a leverage principle and that easily crushes a human skull. . . . . . . . . .
Actually better than a sword or machete for the average person and CAN take apart a door or wall to escape.

Hmm ................ i think i would have no choice other than to carry a shotgun (no other guns available in England) cuz i could get hold of that pretty easy i would carry a crowbar cuz its usefull & i could smash a zombies head in with it (am talking slow zombies) possibly a hatchet i used to have a wood fire so am a pretty acurate shot with it, had lots of practice & i would also try & seek out a crossbow to carry cuz am not a bad shot with that either (me & my brother used to have one)
also i would try to stick with traveling by mountain bike because it is silent & easy to repair & carry, also good for cardio (i would never need to travel huge distances because of where i live)
my main wepon really would be stealth the fact that i am on a island i would have to hook up with someone who can sail a boat!
or i could go to one of the little islands around the UK & kill every zombie on the whole island! then just put my feet up & crack open a can
you should read this book you would love it!
