Foreign Horror Movies, why better?

Wolf Creek, Road Kill, High Tension, Primal, Frontiers, The Descent. I could go on. I'm not saying the US don't have classics upon classics; however, in the 2000's, there are not many at all. Hollywood seems to be stuck on remakes. What are the chances that Europe and Australia studio heads taking when putting out original shit? I don't think any. So, what's up with the states? Why is Hollywood scared to greenlight original horror movies? We used to have Jaws, Nightmare on Elm Street, Carrie, The Exorcist, Halloween. What happened America?

LOL. Hollywood is just feeding the NEW generation remakes to get them to spend money at the theater because many are too lazy to look at the originals or want to see the "latest" actors in them rather than stars from the past.

Trust me. The ONLY reason the rest of the world ISNT making remakes is BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE THE RIGHTS TO THE ORIGINALS. Hollywood has the monopoly on that. Same as it ever was. Greed trumps originality. Particularly in elitest, hypocritical, money hungry Hollywood.
