so from what I've read on that Saw IV thread, the general concensus around these parts is the standard "Halloween III sucks and ruined the series" one?
I love it. I really liked the idea of the Michael Myers storyline ending (I think it really should have been done at the end of the first film personally) and then continuing the Halloween series as sort of a Twilight Zone style franchise with an all new, original story each time.
I think it's a got a great, original storyline (the first script was written by Nigel Kneale!) and is lots of not-so-serious fun.
does anyone else actually like it besides me?
any witches? skeletons? jack-o-lanterns?

Its only redeeming asset was that it set the audience (unintentionaly) up to really enjoy Halloween 4 hehe

I dunno. I'd rather see something like Halloween III occasionally than the same old slasher film done a thousand times.
I think the Stonehenge angle is cool. that just screams Nigel Kneale, who I just found out passed away on Saturday.

I dont like season of the witch at all, I think the idea of straying from the michael myers story line was stupid and if as much time and energy was put into making another Michael sequal rather than this it would have been great, but I dont like season of the witch at all.

well i personally didnt like the later Halloween flicks soo much. It made MM seems a bit too fictional IMO. It wouldve been cool the the halloween series went on to just be a class of movies devoted to a halloween theme although some of you hardcore fan might slash me for saying that....
The idea of this movie was unique. Kinda weird byt cool to watch every holiday season.

i instinctively hated it because it was a halloween movie without michael myers, but after watching it again a few weeks ago with an open mind i actually ended up enjoying it.
