Alright. There is an often overlooked HORROR CATEGORY which IS legit. Its the ANIMAL horror category. Be it a bizarrely intelligent animal, an animal of extraodinary WILL, unusual size, MODIFIED/MUTATED, or altered by supernatural means. I know EVERYONE (except maybe the new generation) loves JAWS but that one aside, what are your favorite or MOST favorite ANIMAL HORROR MOVIE. From CUJO to PROPHECY (the mutated bear one not the Angel one) there are MANY.
My first favs happen to be crocodile flicks.
LAKE PLACID has to be the most witty and well written of any animal horror. With ROGUE being the most underrated. ROGUES scenes with the hero in the crocs lair is mesmerizing and frightening unless youre a bullshitter.
Another fav of mine is DEEP BLUE SEA with the genetically engineered big brained, THINKING sharks.
I must admit I also enjoyed ANACONDA, NOOOOOO, not the lame Jennifer Lopez one, THE SEARCH FOR THE BLACK ORCHID which wasnt top notch (the one actress had an exaggerated western accent that she forgot about not even 1/4 of the way through the flick) but I liked it.

How about other reptiles, like dinosaurse??? I happen 2 like the Vallosa Raptor(spell check)!!!
wich hunted in packs like modern day wolves (or so it's believed)!!!
so I will say jurasic park!!! wich had an ossum veriety of DINO'S
& as HF might know Raptor is the spiecies name 4 our modern birds of prey!!!!

@LadyG - FEARnet had a flick on way back about a kinda bionic Rottweiler, going after two escaped prisoners. A man and a woman. Cant remember the name but I think the flick was from Spain.

Yeppir ! I donated to the RAPTOR SOCIETY to protect our native Raptors. Eagles, hawks, owls, etc.

so anyway Rottwiellers, were brought up what's the name of that one flick, that had the rottie, that was engenered with all the different DNA that could climb trees & do all kinds of off the wall stuff???
I don't remember the name & me & the misses were trying 2 remember some old movies the other day..
