I just bought WormWood..I'm only 13 pages into it, but so far I like her style of writing. Lost Souls..is that one of her newer ones? I recently discovered an awesome used book store here, but she doesn't have that much recent stuff.

She's got a twisted and perverted way of writing. I've read most of her earlier works. Not sure about the most recent novel. I heard it's not too good. I would recommend "Lost Souls."

If you want something a little different Poppy edited a book called Love in Vein- it's vampiric erotica.

Brite is one of my favorite authors, Exquisite Corpse is a must-read!

She's pretty good, descriptive! I first found her in a short story vampire collection called "Love in Vein II" years ago. I think she was an editor and contributed a few stories as well. She's like an edgier, more contemporary Anne Rice.

I have heard of Poppy Z. Brite as well. I haven't really read much of her stuff, but from what I've read she is pretty good.
