I have written what think to be a pretty compelling story. I want to turn it into a novel, but first before that goes into motion I want to make it a movie. I am filiming it in late may early april. My name is rex waide. You can find me on myspace.com/rexowen. or my email greyhusky54yahoo.com. I would love to have some people from anywhere in texas to help me shoot this. i will start out as a 15 to twenty minute short film. but i hope to submit the script and short film to lions gate as soon as I can. Compensation for your help can be discussed. but if anything, its all for the sake of art. Rob Zombie even said,"Art isn't safe." This might not be a safe idea for someone but it would definitely be a great experience and maybe a foot in the door. If interested, contact me at my email address and we can discuss the story and theme of the movie, script, and direction i would prefer it to go in. Thank you for taking time to read this, if interested. if not, spread my name around and help an aspiring artist. we all need a little help sometimes.

Getting inot the business
The two most important things I will say, before you do anything involving the actual shooting is this... have everyone involved, sign a contract. I know that might not seem important, but trust me that from personal experience, it can bite you on the ass if you don't. Secondly, have everyone involved sign releases before you even put your camera on the tripod. This will make it possible for you to use the film regardless of any difficulties that might occur afterwards. I only state these things as having had an entire film, that took 2 1/2 months to shoot turn out bad over money issues and with no contracts, I had to sit on this thing for years. The issues are being resolved now, but it could have been no more that an expensive learning experience. On another note, and probably as important as the first tweo things I mentioned in here, don't be surprised if you wind up getting nowhere with a big company. Theere are thousands of people oiut there doing exactly what you're doing ( myself included) and the market is getting smaller by the day. Big compannies look more upon the people who already have established credibility and only take little fishes like us into the inside on rare occassion. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to talk more. My info is listed in my profile.
