Tomorrow we (Goat Man's Hill and Sick Boy Film, LLC) begin principle photography on our debut genre thriller starring Skye McCole Bartusiak (Firestarter 2, The Boogeyman, 24), Marc Donato (The Final) and scream queen Debbie Rochon. What started out as a tiny, experimental project made for very little money has become...okay, well, we're still a tiny, experimental project with a tiny budget but through friends and friends of friends we were lucky enough to have attracted some talent with more horror cred than we were ever expecting!
Sick Boy is the creation of writer/director Tim Cunningham (Xtracurricular). Production will be entirely on-location in and around the Austin, Texas area, from June 14th to the 29th. Yes, it's not a lot of time, but we plan to be fast and, as with Xtracurricular, absolutely nobody is going to believe what we can pull off with almost nothing. It's going to be tense.
In addition, we'll be posting behind-the-scenes vlog episodes that cover production, post-production and, the actual hard part: marketing and distribution. The intent is to give viewers a peak at the entire process, the good and the bad, for an independent film made with more determination than cash. Y'know, I haven't seen that flick but I can assure you, it's won't be anything like it from what I got out of the trailer. Don't take the look of the webisodes as any indication for what the project will look like. It's going to be an actual narrative motion picture. The webisodes are going to be all DV-documentary but we're shooting the actual film on a Canon 7D with an array of lenses that will allow for proper film "grammar".

SICK BOY behind the scenes DAY 5
In this episode we take a look at DAY 05 behind-the-scenes of the independent feature length thriller, SICK BOY. The home of Dawn Krantz serves as "the Gordon house", the primary location for our story and our base of operations for most of the shoot. Today features mostly Skye's character, Lucy, and her early time in the house. We also see a makeup test for Greg Dorchak.
Principle photography was completed in only thirteen shooting days, averaging 50+ setups a day.
SICK BOY will be the second feature from writer/director Tim T. Cunningham (Xtracurricular) and is the first project from Goat Man's Hill.

...Day 7 was a really big day with too much interesting footage for a single youtube post. Here we see just how great Skye was to work with and it's also our first day with our sick boy, Cas Rooney, on set doing his thing. Watch out though, part 2 is kinda loud :)
