God bless FearNet for showing William Castle films...particularly 13 GHOSTS in widescreen and with the "see them or not" gimmick intact. I have a couple of old-school red/blue 3-D glasses so I got to enjoy one of my favorite William Castle films the way it was meant to be seen. Thanks, FearNet!

LOL. Sorry to have to say I watched it in THEATERS back in the day, lol. I have all of Castles movies in my collection.

. . . . . . I even got SHOCKED as a child sitting in the theater watching THE TINGLER. Cant imagine the LAWSUITS of someone doing that today.

Cool. I just looked it up and didn't know there was one from the 60's. I didn't like the new remake.

LOL . . . . just dont expect MUCH. REMEMBER, this is a WILLIAM CASTLE production and so its more hype than quality. The Castle movies are now more about nostalgia cause they were cheesy fun rip offs of their time. Castle was famous for being a carnival barker type of salesmen for his little b movies. I find them entertaining to see now as what they are.

LOL. Kind of reminds me of Ed Wood movies. They were terrible but I watched them anyway.

admittedly, i saw the remake b4 the original, and i enjoyed it for what it was. and after seeing the original, i was still impressed by the remake for its own quality and style, but the original did become my favorite for the sense of fun and dread it held even though it was sorta spoofish.
as far as the ed wood comment.. i dont care how crazy and eccentric he was or how much cashmere he wore, he was a true artist and brilliant film maker, he was just far ahead of his time, his vision for horror was good, great even, but limitations of reality and budget before the advent of bettter techniques and materials for monster making and visual effects limited him to the goofiness of it all, and what did he do with that.. he rolled with it and went for the cheese instead of trying to make it more dramatic.. that my friends is true brilliance ..lol
