OK I HATE sequels, but CHRISTINE! O mah gawd. That was like one of the first 5 horror movies I ever saw and well.. I ... love her.. JK but seriously Christine has to be the movie in which one of the top ten most memorable horror moments ever occured. When Cunningham says "ok baby show me what you can do" and the car just unfolds into this perfect, cherry red, sex machine. *drool* Yeah so ... Obviously the movie industry is a complete dry well and they'll make a movie outta anything they find so I think they should make a christine sequel. I'm drunk too.
CHRISTINE II
Christine was a great flick. I dont think of it so much as horror but more in a ghost story/serial killer kind of thing which of course is horror but not in the traditional The Thing, Underworld etc. vein. That was one delicious set of wheels, though and a great story. Being an ex biker, for now, I would love a Harley like that, maybe the transformation could change the rider into a demon. What do I know. But how do you up the ante on CHRISTINE? For a proper sequel.
Re: CHRISTINE II
I love the film Christine. I'm not sure really where the story needs to be expanded on or improved upon. All the bases are covered in the first film. I think a sequel would just end up being a rehash.
I would however love to see it released again in theaters.
Re: CHRISTINE II
Oh no doubt it would be a vapid, sorry excuse for a film, Christine II. But I am broken, no longer wildly looking forward to anything but a free writing exercise by a class of 20 fourteen year old pubescing boys (J.I. Joe, Transformers 2, etc). So if it's going to be bad no matter what but they're starved for ideas, I'd just like to see that beautiful car cut just a few more shitters in half.
CHRISTINE II
Actually, I really think they should make a prequel. Theres a HUGE backstory. Remember, at the beginning of the movie that old bastard talks about the relationship between his brother and Christine. It could show Christine during the 20 years we didn't see. They could even explain why she(Christine) is the way she is. Maybe the car became possesed by the soul of some badass, crazy bitch who was really into cars? I thought they did a pretty decent job with the "The Thing" prequel/remake. This movie would be awesome. Just imagine what Christine could do.., with the CG of today!
CHRISTINE II
Wow, this thread is old.
Didn't notice.
Maybe we can get it started again!
Re: CHRISTINE II
I'm not sure you need to. A prequel wouldn't help this film at all. The back story is best left to the imagination of the viewers. Filling in all that missing detail with their own personal horror.
