I hated this movie! The twist was predictable, and the movie was NOT scary at all. I was in a full theater and when they said "don't worry . . . the fog won't let her leave," a busted out laughing! It became contagious and pretty soon the whole theater was laughing at anything rediculous that happened from then on.
Oh man, I loved that movie, the ending was so great. Also, I love Nicole Kidman so really there was nothing not to like. The twist was awesome, but I had a little bit of an idea that that was the twist. Oh well, it was still surprising.
I go back and forth on this one. So slow. I liked the story and the twist was a bit obvious, but I've seen worse. I will say I hate Nicole Kidman with a passion and think she has about as much acting talent as my split ends, but she was better in this than usual.
I saw this on the stage and the "twist" didn't come to the very end which blew your mind. The story was about a couple who go up to their mountain cabin to work things out with their marriage. They start hearing children and bouncing balls appear from nowhere. They believe that the cabin is haunted and get ready to head back to the city. You can guess, I'm sure, how this one ends. I saw the Nicole Kidman version and was a little bit disappointed that they changed the story.
The twist in the middle was the only thing that made this movie worth it... oh and the fact that it gave scary movie 2 (think that is the right one) something to mock with micheal jackson in it.
Totally agree with the girl that said nicole kidman has about as much acting talent as her split ends. Ha Ha that was funny.
i am not a nicole kidman fan, but i did give this movie a look. i liked it. i thought it started out a little slow, but it built some momentum and i liked the how story completely flipped at the end. i kind of thought that was what was going to happen near the end, but was not quite sure. but i enjoyed watching the director's vision play out.
I enjoyed this movie, but the twist was a bit predictable. I think it would have been more surprising had the media not hyped it up by saying there was a big twist "you just won't believe."

Awesome! Love the twists. Wasn't this based on a book?
