I've followed Psychopathic for about 12 years now, I watched them come up & do their thing. I don't like much from ICP after the Joker's Cards (which are all classics), but I still love Twiztid and Dark Lotus! And as an artist myself, I got mad respect for the way they run shit.
Saw Psychopathic on FEARnet when searching for Dark Lotus info. Figured I'd create and account for sake of adding my two cents.
1st. Fearnet on Demand is the chit! Great feeling to watch a vampire movie where they don't sparkle and attempt to overly emote HUMAN emotions! Grew up on horror in the 80's as a kid. The kid w/ a Freddy glove in The Wedding singer was an accurate depiction of me as a 5 year old.
2nd. Horror core meets horror channel. If enough noise is made, could we get a special on DarkLotus or BoonDox? That's as dark and deep as it comes :o) Be a good chance for the world to get schooled on the dark carnival.
Fun but generally useless fact:
Joe and Joey are in a horror movie. It wasn't produced by Psychopathic though. They were merely actors not producers. They pretty much used the movie as practice b4 goin into Big Money Rustlas.
Now my hatchet background
Got my hatchett cherry popped summer of 98. Amazing Jeckle Brothers tour, Da Ville 502! I was in 8th grade and it was wig splitting. The big thing in the mainstream rap scene then was Cash Money. No limit was dying out. Eminem was still hanging out in the freestyle scene. It was when he was making his 1st album. B4 being signed.
I haven't looked at rap the same since.
Psychopathic takes rap to the next level.
BoonDox is amazing. I only wished I had stumbled across him sooner. I gots luv 4 J, Shaggs, ABK, and Blaze. However BoonDox is the best solo artist on Psychopathic IMHO. It's just personal taste. Wizard of Da Hood is one of the best solo albums I've ever listened to. BoonDox stuff just hits deeper. Closer to Dark Lotus.
Oh and Dark Lotus is mindblowingly awesome.
One more useless fact:
Blaze shouts out to Harry Potter in 3 Evil Wizards on Gang Rags featuring J and ABK.
