On Masters of Horror - not a movie but a really good series. The best would be the one called *Pelts* directed by Dario Argento. Not only does a dude get his head chopped in half vertically by a bear trap, but Meat Loaf cuts off his entire torso of skin with a knife and tries to give it to a chick to wear as a coat!

but Gates Of Hell was a gorefest also.So was Ichi The Killer and Murder Set Pieces

taking a lawnmower to a horde of zombies in dead alive ranks right up there. the story of ricky delivers quite nicely also!

Dead Alive - Lawnmower scene was pretty awesome.
Day of the Dead - Maybe not one scene but when the Zombies start into the underground base ripped skin off skulls and ripping Rhodes in half.
Ichi The Killer - Shoe blade slash in half.
City of the Living Dead - Chick upchucking her guts.
