I love Romero's movies but gore factor i must give to Fulci. Fulci's death scenes are brutal. I've seen many people bail out from the splinter scene in zombie2 or the entrails scene in city of the living dead.

i agree. I had seen the dead trilogy from Romero, but then after viewing City of the living dead, Zombie 2, and The Beyond, i saw that it was on a whole new level of gore.

Yeah Fulci's gore is better, but Romero is a better filmmaker.

This is a tough one. I can't decide because I have not seen much Fulci.

i'd say fulci,.his death scenes are far more extreme and he build tension better as he leads into it.

FULCI IS WAY BETTER!! HE ROCKS WHEN IT COMES TO GORE. LOOK AT THE BEYOND,ZOMBIE AND THE HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY

Fulci does have better gore at times, but his films really are badly done when compared to Romero's. Both Dawn & Day of the Dead have some amazing gore that's far superior then Fulchi's..

Romeroes gore was more commical, while Fulci went more for the straight out disgusting. They both have great movies, but i would have to say fulci

I have to agree with the general opinion here

Fulci is more into the Gore than Romero. However, Romero is the better writer/director. I still get shivers when I think about when that chick in 'Zombie' got that piece of wood splinterd off in her eye!

Fulci by far. Personally, I think romero is overrated-for the exception of "dawn of the Dead'.
