all beauty fades with passing of time and
memories kindle near forgotten fires within
heart and within the
mind as if all was new and fragrant as the blooming of a rose kissed by warming sun
so sad the earth to lose such beauty as all fade near
summers end
as warmth begats the chill of autumn night and fallen leaves
trace the air with dying scent
so too all love unkindled embers fade
in ashes as in the rain to bring a call to mourn the
passing of the eve and lent to darker
light no body harbors warmth the
flesh so pale and lips so cold as grave scent shrouds the air as i
love you one last time and read the carving on the stone above your head
