A observation i have recently made is it seems fearnet is the only online community that isnt OBSESSED! with constantly saying "IMO" OR "IN MY OPINION" after every statement OR constantly reminding others who forget to add it "WELL THATS JUST YOUR OPINION!" OR "IN YOUR OPINION!"
OF CORSE ITS MY OPINION, I AM THE ONE WHO FUCK!NG TYPED IT!
IMDB is the worst offender for this shit!
does this behavour iritate anyone else or is it just me? surely it stands to reason if someone gives there view its there fooking opinion! You dont have to say it after every sentence i dont assume any one person is speaking for all other people/life forms in the world!

You have an absolutely valid observation. I think the reason people on other sites put IN MY OPINION constantly is because they are on a site where they use it as a defense mechanism cause the site is full of trolls that are always attacking comments with rude b.s. Even when its used here, I think its used as a REMINDER that wether you agree or NOT, its NOT the issue, its merely a different opinion, choice, like or dislike. There always seems to be someone who disagrees but takes it personal and responds with nastiness and idiocy.

Pretty much the only time I use IMO is during a heated debate or if I'm offering a suggestion on a personal or sensitive subject. You know, just the times when you're SUPPOSED to use the phrase! lol! It can get annoying when people use it WAY too much for no good reason.
