MonsterFest on AMC: 10 Horrifying Years

MonsterFest on AMC: 10 Horrifying Years

Kyle Turner's picture

This Halloween, AMC celebrated 10 years of scareathons featuring classics like Halloween, the Dracula movies, Frankenstein, Wolfen, Children of the Corn, the Hellraiser series and even more. It's so great that AMC put it on this year with no non-horror-movie inturruptions. Just terror all day and all night. I hope they will do it for Hellish times to come.

some of it was good. but why did they have to keep showing the same movies over and over.

I'm agreeing w/ the person w/ the MUNSTERS pic.

They kept showing the same damn movies over && over again.

I admit they did show the same ones over & over, but come on. It's the 10th anniversary of scareathons. Happy 10th Anniversary, MonsterFest!. All of you can hope for more variety next year. And most of the movies were B movies.

I was dissapointed all AMC showed on Halloween were the Halloween movies over and over. Last year they should a lot more movies.

The only suprise this year was all the classic Universal monster movies that I have yet to pick up. The of their schedule I pretty much own on DVD...

I have to agree with most everyone else they had over 50 years of horror movies to choose from and yet somehow Wolfen gets shown 4 times and Childs play 5 times? There were so many more great B&W's they could have added not to mention some of the 70 and 80's off beat ones.

AMC stinks. Horror doesn't work well with numerous, LENGTHY commercial interruptions and severe editing for content. AMC was a good channel about 6 or 7 years ago. Now I avoid it like the plague and simply watch those movies on DVD.

They now have fear Fridays or something like that, don't quote me on the title. They show horrors every Friday night. I've been digging it.
