Wow! I really didn't see that coming. I figured he would die, but i thought that Daryl would end up shooting him with the crossbow for having a gun pulled on Rick. I am so excited about next week. It looks like it is going to kick ass. This season has been so f**king slow and boring that it has been hard for me to stay awake through the entire show. The last two episodes have picked up the pace significantly and the season finale looks to blow everyother episode out of the water. I can't wait till next Sunday, I am so excited.

Thats why I was commenting about blood splatter and using the same contaminated arrows to hunt food AND kill zbs. Contamination from blood, airborne virus, saliva. . . . . here they havent come to a conclusion even when at the CDC, the guys hadnt figured out or mentioned the cause. (they probably never will, just to give them an out in the LOGIC department, lol. ) In NOTLD it was hinted that it was RADIATION from outer space, kinda like NIGHT OF THE COMET.

with the new episode i am just glad that the writers & the dude who playes Shane made sure even the most die hard Shane fan would hate him by halfway through the episode
i still think if people had of listened to him there would be more group members & they would be better off but HEY HO! lets see how the pussy brigade handle things without him...

I thought it was pretty cool what they did with the little kid. Someone may have already said this but in the original comic Shane has Rick on the ground and is about to kill him and the little boy ends up shooting Shane in the face. thought that was a cool little thorwback to the comic.

Love the characters!
I love a good zombie battle as much as the next guy, but I can tell you I wouldn't give a damn if I didn't care about the characters. Sure, there were slower episodes that seemed to revolve around Shane, Rick and Lori, but without that build up, I wouldn't have been gutted when Shaney died. The same with Dale. The point is, just like in Romero films, it's the human part of the apocolypse that is the most gripping. I mean, hell, anyone can do a gore film/show, with death, blood and guts; but that wouldn't keep 10 million viewers if it didn't have aspects that relate to us all.
And yeah, I thought Daryl was going to swoop in, or something else badass like that. Right when Rick stabbed Shane, I was thinking how unclimactic it was...but then again, I knew Shanes character was being killed off so I wasn't looking for any twists. When I saw the swarm of walkers, I started screaming in complete exhilaration of the impending battle!! It's going to be f**king brilliant!!!
