I cant remember details to remember if anything was given away but I suspect that someone may be "ill" and coming down with the zombie virus. OR. . . he could have given him the rate of infection on the planet or the country and didnt want to demoralize the rest. . . . which he ALREADY had done which is why he was committing suicide. I personally think he just blew in his ear as the writers wanted us fans to "buzz" about what he possibly said. I DO think he thought Laurie Holdens character might have the virus. If I remember right she was behaving oddly. I hope NOT cause she is a pretty good actress with a good character. I think they killed off too many good characters as they werent sure they were going to be picked up by the network assbag suits. Thats why the series first season was only HALF the length it would have been for a full season.
I hope U R Right. Had a conversation with a fellow deadhead and without giving anything away, Lori possibly won't be killed off anytime soon, but what do we lowly fans know, huh?....*giggling*
The episodes were so fast and furious, it was hard to keep track of who was who. I watched the marathon as opposed to individual shows. Im pretty sure Merle, our one handed miscreant brought the zombies to camp in the back of the truck that went missing. I DO like that they are making the character of his brother better. Making him see himself as part of the group instead of just making him another troublemaker.
Hahahahahaha, Hellfighter, I was thinking the same thing about Merle bringing the deadheads to the camp. He was pissed when they left him. He surely stayed on the down-low tho, didn't he? He'll be making some noise at the start of season #2 for sure,.....LOL
Oh, yeah. Im sure he is going to be part of their non zombie problems. I just hope they dont string it out TOO much. If they make him an ongoing nemesis for TOO long, it will be like, "well, if he is doing such a good job survivng on his OWN AND manipulating the living AND the dead, how bad can things really be?" Cause lets face it, in that scenario, the more COMPETENT people working together, the better to survive the zombi horde.
As a avid reader of the comic I gaurantee you that that was not an idle whisper (it happened differently in the comics, but it was clearly meant to replace one specfic scene), or something that the producers said put it in there and we will figure it out next season. That whisper will be HUGE probably the end of season 2.
Anyway, we will be interviewing the cast and crew down in San Diego next weekend. Any suggestions for questions? If I do the interview (This will be the first time i do interviews, gulp) I will see if i can fit it in.
1) Are they going to reveal or discuss the origin of what caused the zombies in the first place?
2) Is the explanation different from the books and if applicable in what way and how and WHY make it different from the book.? (if it all applies )
3) Did whatever only affect the dead at first who then infected the living, or were some of the living turned by events? Virus, comet, whatever.
4) Are they going to introduce a character who has flashbacks or will somehow there be flashbacks to how it all happened and what people were doing to fight back or cure it? (that could be an offshoot series in itself)
5) How many episodes are they planning for the new season?
. . . . . . . . all I could think of for now. . . . gotta go back to packing, lol. . . . . .
BTW. . . . . . . . an incredibly large stupidity that they do in a lot of movies. Merles brother uses a crossbow to kill the zombies. For a group worried about contamination, he shoots a zombie then yanks the bolt (arrow) out of the cadaver. THEN he goes hunting with the SAME BOLTS. . . . . . . . HELLLOOOOO. . . . CROSS CONTAMINATION.
Kind of like my fav movie THE THING where Wilford Brimley is wearing gloves to not get contaminated/infected by the UNKNOWN ALIEN ENTITY. . . . . THEN with gloves on, he starts to explain stuff and keeps tapping and touching the body with his pencil. . . . . which he then touches to his lips. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (insert loud buzzing sound ) WRONG ! ! Contaminated.
I sort of have several of your questions wrapped into this one question i was planning on:
With the comic having run for 8+ years now with now end in sight, do you plan on changing the storyline for the TV show to give viewers some hint of an end game?
I am fairly certain this season is a normal cable season of 13 eps

Agreed. There is safety in small cooperative numbers. It'll be that or the wrath of Officer Friendly and Friends again,...LOL
