Bob Balaban had dabbled in the genre in nearly every capacity actor, writer, producer and here director. This movie deserves some award a dark humor horror classic, with the cleavers I mean if this was leave it to beaver. You shouldn't miss this movie. I'm not one of those reviewers who spoils the film or over analyzes the performances and nuances I think its fair enough to let others enjoy it on thier own. I more simply prefer to say yes check it out its worht it or no don't waste your time no need to dissect it till you can't even sit back and enjoy it waiting to see what piqued my praise or ire. This is a must simply stated and its original and different even by todays gore soaked torture porn flicks this is very much an original.
