Sam is investigating a string of murders: four couples killed, their babies kidnapped. Sam wonders if this isn’t just an earthly monster, until he figures out that all the homes are monitored by the same security company.

There is not much action in tonight’s episode, but we get a lot of intrigue. First, Katherine is back for Stefan. He surprises her with a silver spike in the back, which slows her down enough that he can chain her up in the cellar and interrogate her.

Picking up where last season left off, Dexter is in shock on the lawn, clutching Harrison while the authorities swarm around them. Deb takes them back to her apartment (aka Dexter’s old pad).

Dean is living a “normal” life. He has a family. He makes breakfast, goes to a normal job, works on the car with Ben. But these images of normalcy are juxtaposed with scenes of hunting and, more importantly, Sam.
