After our annoying visit to Georgia, it was off to Denver. I was excited because Colorado was one of only ten states that I hadn’t visited. We were doing another haunted house, which was getting a bit monotonous, but the fact that it was in a new state added to the excitement… for me at least.

The next stop on our tour was Georgia. I was particularly excited about this appearance as the person who we booked it with was setting up a spectacle.

By this time in the tour, I was starting to get the “where am I” syndrome. What happens in that syndrome, to me at least, is after days of traveling, being in different cities daily, I wake up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, having no clue where I am. Through my sleepy haze, I get up and start to walk to the bathroom, only to realize I have no clue where it is as this is the third hotel room in three days.

Nursing my injuries from my Segway fall, Kane and I headed down to where I live, Springfield, MA.

While my self-berating is probably getting redundant, I must make you aware that in addition to being scared of my own shadow, I’m also a huge klutz.

The second day in Salem we had some fun planned, a bit of a break from the tour. Besides being the setting for the classic novel, The Crucible, and the location of Rob Zombie’s upcoming film, Lords of Salem, everyone knows Salem for its famous witch trials in the 1600s.

As you can probably tell by reading this series, I’m a wuss. I’m scared of most things and I have a weak stomach when it comes to real life gore and bodily fluids.

Growing up in New England and Massachusetts in particular, visiting the famous town of Salem was a rite of passage. I was probably around nine years old the first time my parents took my brother and me to this spooky place.

The first day of the convention went well, with nothing too exciting happening, thankfully. Like all cons, Saturday was the big day. Not only was it to be the busiest, that night was going to be our big party.

After our quick trip to LA, we headed back out on the book tour. The next stop was Orlando, FL to do one of my favorite horror conventions, Spooky Empire.
