Wes has Elena in the basement of her father’s old medical practice. This was where he helped the Augustines - and where he experimented on vampires. Elena has vague memories of sneaking downstairs, hearing heinous sounds of torture behind a closed door, remembering her father gently telling her to go upstairs, that this isn’t a “kid zone.”

You didn't think Grimm would get to a mid-season finale without delving into Krampus, did you? The mythical beast, long part of the holiday tradition in Europe is gaining popularity (notoriety?) in the States, and NBC's Grimm is celebrating Krampus with his own episode.

Before trick or treating on Halloween was a thing, kids had a very similar past time - a month later. To coincide with Thanksgiving, kids would go "Thanksgiving masking." Similar to Halloween, this involved kids dressing up in hideous, featureless costumes and begging candies and pennies off neighbors.

Abel Ferrara is exactly what you want in a grindhouse director. He is opinionated and brash yet respectful, with a thick Bronx accent that reeks of 42nd Street. In other words, he was a delight to chat with about Drafthouse Films’s upcoming rerelease of his 1981 rape/revenge flick Ms. 45.

I've never had the need for bookends before. My bookshelves are jam-packed so tight with books that there is no room for the books to slip. Then I saw this set and decided I needed to get rid of a few books
