Englund In Italy For Gothic Love Story
Now that we broke the news that 2001 Maniacs: Beverly Hillbillys is holding off on production, fans will have to wait a little longer for juicy details about the caravan of cannibalistic maniacs traveling west! But fortunately, in our exclusive interview yesterday, Robert Englund gave fans some reassurance revealing new details about his upcoming gothic-horror love story shooting in Italy, possibly starring Christopher Lee!
??I?m running off to Italy to do a film, a [horror] gothic love story next month,? said Englund. ?I think we are going to get Christopher Lee to be in it. It?s a great little film but we?ve been working on the script because it was originally inspired by a Russian folk tale. We?re making our movie sort of like that Shyamalan movie The Village. It kind of takes place in a village in Europe but you don?t really know when. It could be last year, 10 years ago or 30 years ago. It sort of takes place yesterday. I just finished the third draft with my Italian producers yesterday. Tim has to wait for me to finish that now. We probably won?t start 2001 Maniacs: Beverly Hellbillys until May.?
