?Solomon? Gets Solemn
Acting heavyweights Max Von Sydow (The Exorcist) and Pete Postlethwaite (Aeon Flux) will join James Purefoy in the adaptation of Solomon Kane. Also joining the film are Rachel Hurd-Wood (Perfume), Mackenzie Crook (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Alice Krige (Star Trek: First Contact and Silent Hill). The film follows a 16th century soldier whose past sins come back to haunt him as he seeks redemption through squaring off against an evil power that threatens his world. The film will be the first in a trilogy based on the pulp stories of Conan creator Robert E. Howard. Shooting begins in Prague this month.
