Sundance Remake News!
Is there anything they won't remake? According to Hollywood Reporter the Spanish thriller Los Cronocrimenes or Timecrimes (currently playing Sundance and set for release in the US through Magnolia) has been optioned by United Artists for a US remake. Timecrimes is described as a jigsaw-style thriller about a man who accidentally travels back in time one hour and finds himself facing multiple dangers, including his own doppelganger. Maybe it sounds more interesting in Spanish? This marks the first deal to be made for UA since signing an interim agreement with the WGA.
