Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, director Jon Knautz?s horror-comedy, just saw its rights picked up for distribution by Anchor Bay, according to Hollywood Reporter. (The deal, a mid-six-figure with a commitment to theatrical release, was inked at Slamdance this year.) Monster Slayer stars Robert ?Freddy Krueger? Englund, and follows the story of a teenager haunted by his parents? murder (check out our review of 'Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer'). In his grieving and rage he awakens an ancient evil, and chaos ensues. We can?t tell you how many times that happens when someone misses a deadline around here.
