Want to ?Walk With a Zombie??
Soon you?ll be able to do just that (watch out: he?s a biter), with a new remake of the black-and-white classic I Walked with a Zombie (according to Variety). RKO has just launched Roseblood Movie Co., a side company that will focus on remaking eight horror films released when the studio was churning out low-budget thrillers by Val Lewton in the 1940?s. The movies to be remade include Lady Scarface, While the City Sleeps, The Monkey?s Paw, The Seventh Victim, Bedlam, Body Snatcher, Five Came Back, and, as mentioned above, I Walked with a Zombie. Wow, eight films being released for under $10M each (according to RKO). The odds on them all sucking is pretty slim, right?
