Plenty of times you've heard me whine and moan that a specific Tuesday was sorely lacking in not only high-end horror fare -- but very little of anything at all! Well this Tuesday (Feb. 12, 2008, and let it be forever forgotten) may just be the worst "Horror Tuesday" yet. Seriously, brace yourselves. The good news is after this lame-ass week, we'll have plenty of goodies to sift through in the rest of February and most of March. Anyway, here's what we got:

Furnace -- From the guy who wrote The Ginderdead Man and both of those really awful Return of the Living Dead "sequels" comes a tale of a gorily haunted prison. Looks like it could be some fun schlock, actually, especially with a cast like this: Michael Pare, Tom Sizemore, Danny Trejo, Ja Rule. Awesome.

Primal -- Looks to me like a low-budget monster-in-the-woods affair. Is it BIGFOOT stalking the cast of this Lionsgate pick-up? Only a trip to the Netflix queue can tell you.

Soul's Midnight -- Yep, we're reporting on an Armand Assante vampire movie that was directed by the guy who helmed all those rotten Rodney Dangerfield movies the classic comedian did at the end of his career. (OK, life.) That's how bad this Tuesday is: Soul's Midnight gets its own preview.

Hmm, we're really digging the bottom shelf here... Oh, if you're a big fan of Blade: The Series, then there you go: Something to buy this Tuesday. New Line delivers the complete "unrated" series on this 4-disc set. I may want to rent at least disc one...

Also today is a re-issue of the very amusing animated zombie flick City of Rott, as well as something called Doomsday: The Sinking of Japan, which might not be horror, but sounds pretty cool to me.

Next week: Catacombs, Nightmare Detective, Black Water, Spiral, and a few more! Finally.
