Rogue just closed a deal to remake George Romero?s The Crazies. The Crazies was shot by Romero in 1973, in the days between his Night of the Living Dead and his zombie Renaissance starter Dawn of the Dead, and starred, among others, Lynn Lowry (Shivers, Cat People). The film follows a small Pennsylvania suburb that goes, well, crazy when a plane accidentally unleashes a biological weapon into the town?s water supply. The new version of The Crazies is written by Ray Wright (Pulse), and will be directed by Breck Eisner, son of mogul Michael Eisner and director of Thoughtcrimes.
