This weekend's box-office reports showed Fox's Jumper topping the charts with an estimated take of $27M. Jumper stars Hayden Christensen and was directed by Doug Liman. We caught up with Liman recently for an exclusive interview about 'Jumper' and his desire to bring a level of reality to an epic sci-fi thriller. With the success of the film, talks of a franchise have been stirred. Variety quoted Fox's Senior VP of distribution as saying, "People obviously enjoyed it. When you have a successful movie, you want to build on it and have sequels." Like it or not, we could, quite possibly, end up seeing Hayden's mug hopping all over town again soon.

Coming in at number 2 this weekend was the children's horror flick The Spiderwick Chronicles. Be sure to catch our exclusive interviews with the Spiderwick Chronicles creators!

George Romero's Diary of the Dead also opened this weekend, albeit in limited release, and did not place on the box-office charts. Nevertheless, Romero is already anticipating a follow-up film. Check out our exclusive interview with George Romero on the film, and his plans for a follow-up and a zombie musical!
