Today we got some interesting news from Australia's Daily Telegraph. Apparently, a government officer has been relocated and may even be fired from her job at a juvenile detention center in Australia after showing an R-rated slasher film to underage inmates. And can you guess which one of our favorite sick-flicks the kiddies watched? Well, of course, it just so happened to be Joe Lynch's overtly disgusting and twisted sex-filled Wrong Turn 2: Dead End! Six detainees as young as 15 years old, two of which were serving sentences for sex-related crimes, were reportedly at the screening for the film causing some extreme outrage from Australian government officials!
"How can you rehabilitate kids if you're going to show them filth like that." Former Children's Court magistrate Barbara Holborow said. "Whoever the person is, they should be sacked."
Joe Lynch, director of the film and head of production over at G4TV.com released a statement to the website, stating "Although the unfortunate individuals involved have impeccable taste in horror films, this movie was never intended to be shown in ANY correctional facility to emotionally fragile minds."
And though Joe is right, if you were in a sterile correctional facility for 3 to 5 to 10, wouldn't you want to see a little blood, guts, and human bodies split clear in half? On screen, of course!
