It doesn?t take a genius to see that after a few quick passes down the aisles at this year?s American International Toy Fair there?s one dominant license ? Indiana Jones. From affordable Lego play sets to a $1,000 dollar, freakishly gorgeous, museum quality 24? doll from Cinemaquette, there?s going to be something for every price range revolving around Dr. Jones this year. We spoke with some of the major license players with the inside track on what to expect:

Lego

Celebrating its 50th year this year, Lego celebrates with the debut of its line of Indy inspired playsets reflecting action scenes from all four of the various films. For Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, there are four playsets: Jungle Duel which includes new villain Irina Spalko (played by Cate Blanchette), River Chase with a Marion Ravenwood figure, Jungle Cutter which is a Russian made machine of destruction, and the Temple of the Crystal Skull playset, which is the set for the film?s climactic battle.

Cinemaquette

Toynami?s exclusive high-end, collectible sculpt of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. The 24? figure is limited to a run of only 1,000 hand produced pieces, and features like hand tailored clothes, individually stitched eyebrows and the signed approval of Ford himself. How much does that kind of execution and attention to detail cost? A cool grand but there?s nothing else like it out there in terms of quality and likeness.

Hasbro

With the most expansive line of merchandising for Indy, Hasbro is producing everything from board games to action figures. The highlights include the Mighty Muggs, urban art style figures for characters like Indy and Mola Ram from Temple of Doom. Those that love the new Mr. Potato Head tie-ins that have popped up with Spider-Man and Transformers can look forward to Taters of the Lost Ark with an Indy inspired outfit, including a whip, fertility idol and theme song music. For their 3 and ?? action figure line, there will be characters from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and other characters from the past three movies. Each will come with a top secret relic and if you collect six, you can mail away for a secret figure. The 12? inch figures will have a mail away offer that if you send in three, you can get the Ark of the Covenant. And if you need to literally crack the whip at home, there?s a soft-sounds effects Whip which is 2 feet long with cracking sound effects and a button to play the Indy theme song. All of the Hasbro Indy line will be available in stores in May.

Sideshow Collectibles

Only an online presence at Toy Fair this year, Sideshow Collectibles announced on Monday that they have also acquired the Indiana Jones license and they will be are producing a 12-inch figure of classic Indy. And proving the popularity of the adventure hunter, in a mere 24-hours, the Sideshow exclusive of the piece with extra accessories is already sold out!
