Is Freddy's Next 'Nightmare' Coming True?
It?s been a long road since we first broke the news that Robert Englund wanted to star in a new Nightmare on Elm Street film! Since then there's been much speculation about whether or not Englund will don that striped sweater, fedora and sinister grin for the recently announced remake. Well today we spoke with an insider, someone close to Englund, who said the film is in 'very preliminary stages.' Our source also said 'they want to make the movie but can?t technically develop it because of the writer?s strike.' This confirms some initial rumors that Englund will be involved in the film, making our dream (or rather our shamelessly cliché Nightmare) come true, but doesn?t disclose what his role or involvement will actually be.
