Variety is reporting that Dimension films has snatched up the rights to Locke & Key, a new graphic novel written by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son), and they're already thinking franchise. Hill's first sale to the big screen was with Heart Shaped Box which is currently being developed with Warners. Locke & Key story revolves around 'a trio of children who become the caretakers of Keyhouse, a mansion in New England that is full of secrets and magic. The kids discover doors that take them to different places, give them powers and even alter gender and skin color. Behind one door is a dangerously violent creature'. Anything that either frightens children or turns them into monster lovers is A OK in our book. For more on Joe Hill be sure to check out our review of 'Heart Shaped Box' on FEARnet.
