Tenney and Heard for 'The Stepfather'
It looks like two more actors have stepped up for Screen Gems? remake of the 1987 horror thriller The Stepfather. According to HollywoodReporter.com, the cast now includes Jon Tenney (The Closer), who will play Penn Badgley?s real dad, and Amber Heard (All the Boys Love Mandy Lane) who will play Badgley?s girlfriend.
Long ago, Sela Ward was confirmed to star as Tenney?s ex-wife, whose future husband may have murdered his prior family, and will be played by Dylan Walsh.
Writer/director ream of Screen Gems' Prom Night 2008, director Nelson McCormick and writer J.S. Cardone will rejoin for The Stepfather Remake.
