Byrne Caught in 'Knowing' Cage
28 Weeks Later?s Rose Byrne has just landed the lead role opposite Nicolas ?Wicker-Man-remake-Ghost Rider-and-string-of-unwatchable- pseudo-genre-flicks? Cage in Summit Entertainment and Escape Artists? sci-fi thriller Knowing.
According to HollywoodReporter.com, I, Robot?s Alex Proyas will direct the Ryne Douglas Pearson screenplay, and Byrne will star as the daughter of a woman buried in a 1962 time capsule which bears the dates of assassinations of historical figures, as well as the hotel fire death of the wife of a professor (Cage) and an imminent world apocalypse. Hmm?do I feel a little National-Treasure vibe with some apocalyptic genre fusion coming on? Un-friggin?-bearable.
