Monster Tribute to 'Creature' Star
As Philly natives, FEARnet is always pretty damn excited when our area horror convention Monster Mania rolls around! This year, Monster Mania X in Cherry Hill, NJ is set to kick off St. Patrick?s Day weekend in high style, ensuring some good times for all.
Most importantly Monster Mania is kicking off the weekend on Friday March 14, at six p.m. with a tribute screening of Creature Feature: 50 Years of the Gill-Man, the unreleased documentary on the making of the Creature from the Black Lagoon, in honor of the film?s star Ben Chapman, who passed away February 21st. The one-time screening in honor of the late actor will include the documentary, in which Chapman tells the story behind the creation of marketing and making the film, and features Benicio del Toro, and Creature?s leading lady Julie Adams and her underwater double Ginger Stanley. It will be followed by a 35-minute Q&A session.
