Paramount plans to pack theaters with an new animated version of the erotic and violent tales in the sci-fi/fantasy comic magazine Heavy Metal! According to Variety.com, the magazine, which debuted in 1977 in the U.S., featured writers like Robert Silverberg and Harlan Ellison and artists like H.R. Giger and Jean ?Moebius? Giraud?and inspired the original Heavy Metal film?so the film version appropriately includes work from some of today?s top talents, including Tim Miller (animation), David Fincher (director), and Kevin Eastman (director). The R-rated, adult-themed feature will include eight or nine individual animated segments, each with its own director.
