'Supernatural' Star Jared Padalecki to Play Lead in 'Friday the 13th'?
Watch out Jason! Something Supernatural stalks at Camp Crystal Lake. According to Hollywood Reporter, Jared Padalecki, from CW?s Supernatural, is in final negotiations to star in the remake of Friday the 13th for Platinum Dunes. If you haven?t heard the details yet, the Friday the 13th remake will be a reworking of the original, but it will focus on Jason (with mask) as the serial killer. Jared Padalecki will play the main character who goes to investigate the weird happenings at the infamous lake. A release date has been planned for--what better date?--Friday, February 13th of next year.
Just as a reminder, we caught up with Scout Taylor Compton at Texas Frightmare, and she divulged some casting news about the remake to Friday and we noticed that Cloverfield's Odette Yustman was attached to the film via IMDB.
