Eileen Dietz may not be a household name, but to horror fans she's regarded as a living legend having portrayed the demon who possesses Regan in The Exorcist. We recently caught up with Eileen and discussed a few of her upcoming projects.

'I'm in a film called Queen of Screams, it's a slasher film with heart. Kind of like Sunset Blvd meets Carrie. It's about an actress who was once at the top of her field, the very best horror film actress, she's pushed out by young prettier people and she's desperate to go back to where she was. Her husband takes her to CA and opens up a movie theater for her so she can do Elvira type things but people keep throwing candy and popcorn at her. And then something happens to her husband and it turns into total revenge and she takes out the town. I also shot Sibling Rivalry with Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn) about a year and a half ago and that's done too, I do kind of a cameo appearance in that. It's a lovely little film about two girls that turn out to be different than they appear to be. And you can prob look for that at some film festivals prob soon.

We also asked Eileen about and independent film she's been attached to for quite some time that was supposed to also star wrestler turned actor Rowdy Roddy Piper called Sin-Jin Smyth. Dietz tells us, "That's never going to come out, a film that half the world knows about. Just through circumstances and money and Roddy got really sick. And um, that movie is never going to be finished. It's funny cause they did a trailer to show to people and they did my scene and in that one I just played a receptionist in a prison, where Sin-Jin was put into prison. It's a real small scene but it's kind of remarkable I guess a lot of people put it that way, but I'm afraid that movie is never gonna come out. Too much water under that bridge.

In addition to acting, Dietz has been producing as well, "I'm working on producing a couple of films, I'm getting financing for 'em. One is a film called Krampus it's about a real monster that lives in Austria, that's a really fun film, and then there's 2 films I'm working on getting money for, one is as if Charles Manson had escaped from prison and what would happen if he gets his old gang together. Cause I did Helter Skelter ('76) and another film I'm producing is called Lullaby which is a character driven, 3 character film, kind of like Misery. It's a beautiful thriller. It's about a woman who wants a baby more than anything in the world and would do anything to get one...anything.

We have some really strong offers on the Manson thing and the same thing with Lullaby but we can't let that out just yet.

For anyone who doesn't know, in Austria, Krampus is known as St. Nick's sidekick and while Santa Claus is delivering toys to those children that have been good, Krampus is punishing those that have been naughty...bring it on!
