Hugh ?Wolverine? Jackman is tearing through genre movies these days, with both his upcoming X-Men spin-off film and his upcoming Neil Marshall (Neil Marshall interview) stuntman flick Drive. Well today we got word from Variety.com that Jackman and Eli Stone co-creator Marc Guggenheim are teaming up with Virgin Comics to create a big-screen version of the upcoming comic-book series Nowhere Man.
But Seed Productions partner, John Palermo has confirmed that they won?t just stop at a Nowhere Man movie! From what he says, they?re going to completely milk this concept for all it?s worth! Palermo says, "This is our first comic, and we feel the concept is transferable to other arenas, perhaps first as a videogame, and then a movie."
No word on who will direct, but the story features a protagonist who?s, according to Palermo, reminiscent of Will Smith?s character in I Am Legend, and living in a futuristic world where mankind has traded privacy for safety. Given the current state of our nation, that sounds pretty damn realistic?
