If you thought you were excited about the television reunion of Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku with Whedon?s upcoming TV venture, Dollhouse, well, you?re hardly going to be able to contain yourself after today?s news! According to HollywoodReporter.com, Battlestar Galactica co-star Tahmoh Penikett (a.k.a. Helo), Fran Kranz (Welcome to the Captain), Dichen Lachman and Enver Gjokaj (no, we don?t know how to pronounce their names either) are planning to join Dushku in the cast of Whedon?s show. The show focuses on men and women, the titular ?Dolls?, imprinted with different personalities to aid them in completing specific assignments by a genius programmer named Topher Brink (Kranz). These operatives, however, have no memory of their previous lives. Our story starts when Echo (Dushku) tries to find out who she was before becoming a Doll, with the help of FBI agent and romantic foil Paul Smith (Penikett) and her fellow doll friends Sierra (Lachman) and Victor (Gjokaj). Seven episodes were ordered by Fox just before the strike. Let?s hope this series fares better that Whedon?s last Fox show, the beloved ratings disappointment Firefly.
