Anchor Bay Gets 'Brutal Massacre' Rights
The good folks over at Anchor Bay Entertainment have just scooped up the theatrical and DVD rights to Brutal Massacre: A Comedy, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The flick, a mockumentary about the making of a horror film, stars David (An American Werewolf in London) Naughton as a director being followed by a documentary crew. Gunnar Hansen (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead) also star. Anchor Bay plans on bringing the flick to New York and L.A. theaters later in the spring, with a DVD release following soon after. Now, this flick is supposed to be a comedy, but there?s something utterly terrifying about the thought of Ken Foree or Gunnar Hansen trying to crack a joke.
