Amanda Righetti Cast in 'Friday the 13th' Remake
Friday the 13th fans may not be looking forward to a remake of their beloved classic, but Michael Bay?s Platinum Dunes production company and director Marcus Nispel are making sure it happens anyway. A while ago, we broke the news that Halloween 2007's Scout Taylor-Compton was approached for a role in the film, and that IMDB had Cloverfield's Odette Yustman listed for the cast. Though Compton and Yustman have not been confirmed yet, earlier this week the film recruited Derek Mears (The Hills Have Eyes II) for the coveted role of the machete-slinging, camper-killing Jason, and, just today, Variety.com received word that Amanda Righetti (Return to House on Haunted Hill) is in final negotiations to play the lead. And if ?lead? means the head sexy, nubile camper, well that Friday the 13th remake is looking a hell of a lot better!
