Box Office Destroys 'The Ruins'
Since the release of I Am Legend back in December, genre films have had a few pretty healthy months at the box office. But this weekend (according to the official numbers provided by BoxOfficeMojo.com), proved that Paramount?s The Ruins could easily be destroyed by box office competitors and landed the surprisingly well regarded film in the number five spot which claimed just $7,840,000. And while Shutter (video interviews) and 10,000 BC (video interviews) still remain in the 9th and 10th spots, the rest of this weekend?s box office list was filled with a slew of family comedies, animated Seuss features, Jodie Foster starring island films and a burly bunch of George Clooney lead Leatherheads.
