While one half of that dream-boy-Supernatural-team is gearing up to star in the remake of Friday the 13th, the other half (Jensen Ackles) is in final negotiations to play the lead in Patrick Lussier?s remake of the 1981 slasher classic, My Bloody Valentine 3-D. According to HollywoodReporter.com, Ackles will join the previously cast Jaime King (Sin City, The Spirit) and will play Tom, ?a handsome, principled man who returns to his home in Harmony, MO, 10 years after 22 people were murdered on Valentine's night. Back in Montana, Tom finds he still is smitten with his first love, Sarah (King), and is now a murder suspect.?

Well, it ?sorta? sounds like it might have something to do with the original there, let?s hope they keep those nifty ?Roses are Red?? poems of terror in tact. Often regarded as one of the better slasher knockoffs, Lussier has his work cut out for him. Production on the film is set to begin May 12 and the film is expected to release on January 23, 2009, the official start (or end) of the battle of the remakes starring those Supernatural boys. Oh, and did we mention Jamie King in 3-D? You betcha!
